Symptoms –
The onset of the cold season and a general slump in activity levels has caused people to develop body pains. This may be just because of the tighter and less viscous(or loose) muscles but it could also be because of lower Vitamin D levels.
You may be having this if you have bone pains, body pains, or muscle weakness despite exercising regularly.

Causes –
Not getting enough in the diet. Good sources include milk, eggs, cheese, liver, and fish oil.
Reduced exposure to sunrise which limits conversion of Cholesterol to vitamin D
Dark skin which can reduce conversion
Reduced absorption in the digestive tract
Kidney not producing it
In obese people, vitamin D can be taken up by the fat cells which can reduce the amount of vitamin D in the blood
Treatment –
Increasing vitamin D foods in the diet
Vitamin D supplements
Vitamin D injections
